Work Location: ADNOC HQ, Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose: Defines Wells uppwe/lower completion, gas lift, stimulation and performation design.  Executes the production strategy of existing wells. Troubleshoots well flow issues and participate/followup in the intervention and evaluation proposal/jobs.  Enhancement of production operation efficinecy through optimisation and synchronisation of the site activities.  Generating monthly Oil, Water & Gas Allocation Reports, and manage back allocation system and protocols.

Key Accountablities:

  • Job Specific Accountabilities (For Inactive Strings Management)

    • Steward the process of daily well monitoring based on flow tests that use to be conducted on monthly basis per string and adjustment of Flow Rate versus assigned Technical Rates.
    • Performance review of strings after scale or chemical treatment.
    • Close monitoring of intermittent strings performance and the disposal wells (Island and Juck-Up),
    • Ensure the process of the developee/interns programs and provide guidance/ support when required
    • Steward the review for all inactive strings and identify the problems and possible causes and estimate the associated production and injection losses.
    • Supervise the categorization process for inactive strings as per ADNOC guidelines.
    • Study and identify the required diagnostics and surveillance.
    • Develop / review the monthly report for inactive strings status and update.
    • Study and review various reactivation methods considering new technologies and unconventional ways and practices, whenever applicable.
    • Develop short and long term reactivation plan.
    • In conjunction with drilling establish high Level plan for the reactivation and provide the operational support during execution.
    • Review workover candidates, define & design well intervention and remedial technique. Prioritize scheduling in coordination with reservoir management, Corporate Planning and Drilling.
    • Investigate well problems related to flow assurance, develop the remedial and follow up the execution in coordination with Well Integrity and Drilling.

     

    Job Specific Accountabilities (For Petroleum Engineering)

    • Steward the process in the green field implementation and brown field integration.
    • Upper / Lower Completion, Stimulation, Gas Lift Designs
    • Review Well / Network Models construction/validation/update
    • Newly drilled wells’ performance monitoring; start up/Clean up/clean out till TR application.
    • Review Wells’ problems interfere with mitigation action including PLT and stimulation implementation results analysis and evaluation.
    • Perforation Design and gun selection for both production and communication test/cement repair.
    • Well performance review finding opportunities for more production injection rates availability recommending stimulation jobs and data gathering based on updated well models review.
    • Recommend and assess new technologies’ application feasibility in UZ, generating case study per need.
    • Production surveillance utilization; utilization of MPFM, WCMs, PDHGs & DTS/DAS for production monitoring and optimization.
    • Coordination with all concerned stakeholders on achieving monthly Prod. /Injection targets thru daily Production /Injection monitoring of all field/well updates.
    • Review of the monthly planned/Actual production/Injection availabilities on monthly basis and downtime analysis for enhancing operation efficiency.
    • Contributing in 5YP Planned; shutdown Optimization and Impact.
    • Generating Monthly Oil, Water & Gas Allocation Reports, and Manage Upper Zakum Field Back Allocation System and protocols. Generating Planning Flow-Testing and Sampling requirements for Lab analysis for all UZ wells and follow-up, verify and update the data into the master database.

     

Qualification, Experience & Knowledge Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Similar Discipline.
  • 10+ Years’ experience in Petroleum Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Preferably with experience in Well Development and working with Drilling and Workover Operations.
