Engineer - Reservoir

Work Location: ADNOC HQ, Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose: Supervise the activities related to reservoir studies to optimize UZ development and depletion plans including integrated subsurface technical analysis, assist with performance predictions for drill wells, workovers, projects or base optimization, optimize reservoir management (maximize recovery), support resource development, Identify opportunities.

Key Accountablities:

  • Job Specific Accountabilities (For Inactive Strings Management)

    • Steward the process of evaluating different options to achieve the well objectives and ensure that each well design option is tested to ensure all objectives and requirements are met. Ensure each option is fully evaluated and a recommendation provided for the most effective.
    • Organize and Participates on multidisciplinary team discussion (UZFD & Drilling) and ensure that well requirements are defined, optimized and documented in the WDP online system, to provide best requirements for planning and executing well planned on Rig Activity Bar-Chart.
    • Coordinates all required reservoir geoscience support to drilling, workover operations and all reservoir management activities. This in conjunction with the support of Operations Geoscience activities.
    • Coordinates UZ geologic requirements including reservoir modelling, stratigraphy, petrophysics and petrographic analyses in order to support continuous improvement in requirements for Well delivery process.
    • Supervises the activities of assigned personnel regarding geology matters, allocates assignments and determines priorities
    • coordinate and facilitates a multi-disciplinary UZFD work sessions during well delivery process to deliver a high quality well with less time and cost
    • Review and coordinate the approval of the Well Requirements documents.
    • Develop a professional Well Requirements document (Well Prognosis) that fully aligns with full field development plans.
    • Supervises and participates in Reservoir Studies and Technical meeting to assist in solving problems confronting the development plans.
    • Participates in development and training of YDP graduates with special emphasis on UAE Nationals
    • Contributes to the development of optimum Field Development Plans to achieve targeted long term reservoir recovery and short/medium term production targets
    • Evaluates and integrates reservoir data, and recommends improvements to optimize reservoir management and recovery
    • Defines reservoir management best practices/processes for Upper Zakum.

     

Qualification, Experience & Knowledge Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Reservoir Engineering or Similar Discipline.
  • 10+ Years’ experience in Petroleum Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Preferably with experience in Well Development and working with Drilling and Workover Operations.
