Client: ADNOC ONSHORE (Previously ADCO)
Specialized in the area of well planning, design and engineering. Reviews, evaluates and recommends well technology, engineering & integrity to improve overall well life cycle. Reviews and endorse ADNOC Onshore Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) when required. Ensures drilling and workover activities are designed and executed in compliance with the ADNOC Onshore’ s policies and the ADNOC Code of Practices (COP’s).
Represents technical authority for all well engineering matters within ADNOC Onshore.
Review current well design across ADNOC Onshore assets and provide recommendation that are fit-for-purpose. Moreover, supports Drilling Division in planning and designing high profile wells. Lead and participates in designing and re-engineering including specifications of drilling wells.
Lead and endorse any Management of Change (MOC) in well design.
Review and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practice (COP’s)for use throughout drilling and workover operations and ensure implementation.
Able to perform studies and identifies ideas for improving drilling operational performance and efficiency vs the available resources. Develop reports to the management showing status of work progress, budget, technologies…etc. as required.
Participates and support any joint task force in ADNOC and GCC activities dealing with Well Engineering design aspects Liaises with well delivery stakeholders to optimize drilling activities and well cost. Benchmark ADNOC Onshore performance with other organizations and provide recommendations for improvement.
Participate in peer reviews, workshops and technical events. Also, provides and share lesson learned, knowledge and best practices from industry sources internally and with ADNOC, Shareholders, and other OPCOs. Keep up to date to industry developments, emerging new technologies and opportunities to overcome drilling challenges.
Participates directly and indirectly in technical staff development (training, coaching, career development…etc). Similarly, takes part in taskforce teams and contribute to solving issues related to well engineering.
Participate in the HSE Risk Management Process including Risk Register Management. Also, participate in risk assessments including HAZOPS and Operational Risk Assessments.
Minimum Qualification: B.Sc degree in Petro – Technical discipline. Advanced degree is preferable.
Minimum Experience: 15+ years in petro-technical discipline of which 5 years in a specialist role,
Experience in report writing with solid presentations skills.
International experience is preferable.
Track record in maturing and applying new technologies and participation in R& D projects.
Excellent spoken and written English.
The nature of responsibilities requires expert knowledge in drilling and completion engineering and Rig equipment’s.
Familiar with industry standards, specifications, codes, and documentation including API, ISO…etc.
